The present invention describes administering a GLP-1 agonist to treat obesity caused by the administration of an obesity-inducing drug.

A method of treating antipsychotic drug-induced obesity in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to said subject a therapeutically effective amount of a GLP-1 agonist for reducing body weight in said subject administered an atypical antipsychotic drug, wherein the GLP-1 agonist is Arg34Lys26(Nε-(γ-Glu(Nε-hexadecanoyl)))-GLP-1 (7-37).
