Abstract
A method for operating a fuel cell system includes monitoring a signal indicative of a water level within the fuel cell system. The method further includes determining an anode air flow rate based on the monitored signal indicative of water level. The method further includes controlling the anode air actuator based on the determined anode air flow rate.
Claims12
A method for operating a fuel cell system, the fuel cell system comprising a fuel cell stack, an internal fuel reformer, a hydrogen separation member, and an anode air actuator configured to provide anode air to the internal reformer, the method comprising:
- monitoring a signal indicative of a water level within the fuel cell system;
- monitoring a signal indicative of fuel flow rate within the fuel cell system;
- determining an anode air flow rate based on the monitored signal indicative of water level and the signal indicative of fuel flow rate;
- and
- controlling the anode air actuator based on the determined anode air flow rate.
