Abstract
A device for travelling along a pipeline having fluid flowing along it comprises a turbine for extracting power from the fluid flow and using that power to move the device along the pipeline against the fluid flow. The device is arranged in a series of coupled modules.

A device for travelling along a pipeline, said device comprising:
- a first module;
- and
- a second module including a turbine;
- wherein the first module and second module are coupled to one another by a coupling, and the turbine generates mechanical drive to be transmitted between the modules by said coupling.
