Abstract
A combined video display and camera system is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system comprises a video display with gaps in between the pixels. Light goes through these gaps and enters a camera, which captures an image. The system is arranged such that the display and the gaps are optically out of focus with respect to the camera.
Claims10
A system comprising,
- a transmissive display with gaps in between pixels,
- a primarily transparent backlight in the transmissive display, and
- at least one camera placed behind the transmissive display, wherein
- at least one camera is configured to capture an image during a capture period and not capture an image during a display period and
- the gaps of the transmissive display become opaque during the display period.
