Abstract
An apparatus and method for transmitting a signal using a bit grouping method in a wireless communication system is disclosed. Interleaved subblocks are maintained, and output bit sequences are modulated in due order after bit grouping and bit selection. The bit grouping method is advantageous in that bit reliability is uniformly distributed.
Claims15
A transmission method for a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- forming first and second subblocks using systematic bits of output bits of a convolutional turbo code (CTC) encoder;
- forming third to sixth subblocks using parity bits of the output bits;
- subblock interleaving each of the first to sixth subblocks;
- circularly shifting output bits of the interleaved second subblock by a predetermined bit;
- generating output sequences using output bits of the circularly-shifted second subblock, output bits of the interleaved first subblock, and parity bits of the interleaved third to sixth subblocks;
- and
- transmitting the output sequences.

An apparatus for transmitting a signal in a wireless communication system, the apparatus comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- form first and second subblocks using systematic bits of output bits of a convolutional turbo code (CTC) encoder;
- form third to sixth subblocks using parity bits of the output bits;
- subblock interleave each of the first to sixth subblocks;
- circularly shift output bits of the interleaved second subblock by a predetermined bit;
- generate output sequences using output bits of the circularly-shifted second subblock, output bits of the interleaved first subblock, and parity bits of the interleaved third to sixth subblocks;
- and
- a transmitter configured to transmit the output sequences.
