Abstract
The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or method that facilitates employing a graphical user interface to monitor and/or manage an asset within an industrial environment. A graphical user interface can facilitate asset management including a first field that provides a user with a hierarchical representation of assets within an industrial environment. The graphical user interface can further include a second field that displays available management functionality associated with an asset selected within the first field.
Claims27
A system, comprising:
- a memory that stores computer-executable components;
- and
- a processor, communicatively coupled to the memory, that facilitates execution of the computer-executable components, the computer-executable components including:
- a graphical user interface configured to receive a selection input, comprising:
- a first field that displays a representation of a hierarchy of assets within an industrial environment;
- a second field that displays available functionality relating to management of an asset selected within the first field, the available functionality includes one or more functions that are executed on the asset selected within the first field, based on the selection input received by the graphical user interface;
- and
- a graphical representation of the asset selected within the first field that comprises a geographic map which identifies a location of the asset, wherein the graphical representation includes at least one portion, which, in response to selection, at least one of provides granular data or enables granular functionality.
A method, comprising:
- displaying a representation of a hierarchy of assets within an industrial environment in a first field;
- in response to receiving a first input selecting an asset within the first field, displaying, in a second field, available functionality relating to management of the asset that includes a function that is executed on the asset;
- displaying, in a third field, a graphical representation of the asset selected within the first field that comprises a geographic map identifying a location of the asset;
- and
- in response to receiving a second input selecting a portion within the graphical representation, presenting granular data associated with the portion of the graphical representation, wherein the granular data includes more detailed information than data associated with the graphical representation.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising computer-executable instructions that, in response to execution, cause a system comprising a processor to perform operations, comprising:
- displaying in a first field, a representation of a hierarchy of assets within an industrial environment;
- in response to receiving a first input selecting an asset of the hierarchy of assets, displaying, in a second field, available functionality relating to management of the asset that includes a function that is executed on the asset;
- in response to receiving the first input, displaying, in a third field, a graphical representation of the asset that comprises a geographic map identifying a location of the asset;
- and
- in response to receiving a second input selecting a portion within the graphical representation, enabling granular functionality associated with the portion of the graphical representation, wherein the granular functionality includes more detailed information than the available functionality.
