Abstract
Floor panels which are provided with a mechanical locking system including a displaceable tongue in a displacement groove. The tongue is molded and provided with bendable protrusions.
Claims18
A set of floor panels comprising a mechanically locking system at two adjacent edges of a first and a second panel, the mechanically locking system comprising:
- a first connector for locking in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the adjacent edges;
- and
- a second connector comprising, in order to facilitate installation, a separate tongue, for locking in a vertical direction,
- wherein a part of the tongue is flexible and bendable in the horizontal and/or vertical direction, said part comprising at least two protrusions on a first side of the tongue, each of the least two protrusions extending in the same plane in a longitudinal direction of the tongue before the first and second panels are locked together, the first side of the tongue comprising a respective recess at each of the at least two protrusions, and at least a portion of each protrusion is adapted to bend toward and be at least partially received in the respective recess when the tongue bends in the horizontal and/or vertical direction, and
- wherein the locking system is configured to connect a first panel to a second panel by angling, substantially horizontal snapping and vertical locking.
A set of floor panels comprising a mechanically locking system at two adjacent edges of a first and a second panel, the mechanically locking system comprising:
- a first connector for locking in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the adjacent edges;
- and
- a second connector comprising, in order to facilitate installation, a separate tongue, for locking in a vertical direction,
- wherein a part of the tongue is flexible and bendable in the horizontal and/or vertical direction, said part comprising at least two protrusions on a first side of the tongue, each of the least two protrusions extending in the same plane in a longitudinal direction of the tongue before the first and second panels are locked together,
- wherein the locking system is configured to connect a first panel to a second panel by angling, substantially horizontal snapping and vertical locking, and
- wherein a vertical protrusion is arranged at an upper side and/or at a lower side of at least one of the at least two protrusions.
A set of floor panels comprising a mechanically locking system at two adjacent edges of a first and a second panel, the mechanically locking system comprising:
- a first connector for locking in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the adjacent edges;
- and
- a second connector comprising, in order to facilitate installation, a separate tongue in a displacement groove, for locking in a vertical direction, a majority of the separate tongue including a first long edge of the separate tongue being completely enclosed on three sides by walls of the displacement groove, the separate tongue having a second long edge, opposite the first long edge, which in the connected state extends outside the displacement groove, and the outer edge of the second long edge is essentially straight over substantially the whole length of the separate tongue,
- wherein a part of the tongue is flexible and bendable in the horizontal and/or vertical direction,
- wherein the locking system is configured to connect a first panel to a second panel by angling, substantially horizontal snapping and vertical locking.
