Abstract
The present invention provides a crosslinkable polysiloxane-containing composition and a process for treating a textile with the composition whereby desirable properties, such as water repellency and durability, are enhanced.
Claims24
A crosslinkable polysiloxane-containing composition comprising:
- (a) a polysiloxane of formula (1):
- MAaDBbDCcTDdTEeMAa (1)
- wherein
- MA=(OR1)y(R2)3-ySiO1/2;
- DB=R32SiO2/2;
- DC=R4R5SiO2/2;
- TD=R6SiO3/2;
- and,
- TE=R7SiO3/2;
- wherein
- R1 is hydrogen or a monovalent hydrocarbon group of 1-20 carbon atoms;
- R2, R3, R4 and R6 each independently is a monovalent hydrocarbon or alkoxy group of 1-60 carbon atoms;
- R5 and R7 each independently is a monovalent hydrocarbon group of 1-60 carbon atoms and substituted with at least one amino and/or oxirane group;
- and,
- a, b, c, d and e each independently is 0 or a positive integer, provided that 2≦a≦19, 1≦b≦9999, 1≦c≦19, 0≦d≦9, 0≦e≦9, wherein d+e is greater than or equal to 1, and 0≦y≦3;
- and,
- (b) at least one crosslinker.
