Abstract
Sequences of a serotype 8 adeno-associated virus and vectors and host cells containing these sequences are provided. Also described are methods of using such host cells and vectors in production of rAAV particles.
Claims8
An artificial adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsid protein comprising one or more AAV8 capsid protein fragments selected from the group consisting of:
- aa 274 to 446 and aa 670 to 706, of SEQ ID NO:2, fused to one or more AAV capsid protein fragments from one or more different AAVs, wherein the artificial adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsid protein is a non-naturally occurring capsid protein.
