Abstract
A system for generating image data includes a voltage supply configured for applying a first voltage to generate radiation at a first energy level, and for applying a second voltage to generate radiation at a second energy level, an imager for generating a first set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the first energy level, and for generating a second set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the second energy level, and a processor for creating composite image data using the first and the second sets of image data.
Claims20
A method for generating image data, comprising:
- applying a first voltage to generate radiation at a first energy level;
- generating a first set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the first energy level;
- applying a second voltage to generate radiation at a second energy level;
- generating a second set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the second energy level;
- and
- creating composite image data using the first and the second sets of image data, wherein the first and second sets of image data are for a bodily region that has contrast agent;
- wherein the first and the second voltages are applied by operating a single voltage supply in a first mode and a second mode, respectively;
- wherein the acts of generating the first and second sets of image data are accomplished using a first portion of a detector and a second portion of the detector, respectively, wherein the first portion is different from the second portion, the first portion of the detector corresponding with the first mode of the voltage supply, and the second portion of the detector corresponding with the second mode of the voltage supply;
- and
- wherein the first portion of the detector and the second portion of the detector are located at a same layer of the detector.
A method for generating image data, comprising:
- applying a first voltage to generate radiation at a first energy level;
- generating a first set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the first energy level;
- applying a second voltage to generate radiation at a second energy level;
- generating a second set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the second energy level;
- and
- creating composite image data using the first and the second sets of image data, wherein the first and second sets of image data are for a bodily region that has contrast agent;
- wherein the first and the second voltages are applied using a single voltage supply;
- and
- wherein the first voltage is applied to create a first potential using a first target material for generating the radiation at the first energy level, and the second voltage is applied to create a second potential using a second target material for generating the radiation at the second energy level, the first target material being different from the second target material.
A system for generating image data, comprising:
- a voltage supply configured for operating in a first mode by applying a first voltage to generate radiation at a first energy level, and for operating in a second mode by applying a second voltage to generate radiation at a second energy level;
- an imager having a first portion for generating a first set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the first energy level, and a second portion for generating a second set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the second energy level, the first portion being different from the second portion, wherein the first portion corresponds with the first mode of the voltage supply, and the second portion corresponds with the second mode of the voltage supply, and wherein the first portion of the imager and the second portion of the imager are located at a same layer of the imager;
- and
- a processor for creating composite image data using the first and the second sets of image data, wherein the first and second sets of image data are for a bodily region that has contrast agent.
A system for generating image data, comprising:
- a voltage supply configured for applying a first voltage to generate radiation at a first energy level, and for applying a second voltage to generate radiation at a second energy level;
- an imager for generating a first set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the first energy level, and for generating a second set of image data based at least in part on the radiation at the second energy level;
- a processor for creating composite image data using the first and the second sets of image data, wherein the first and second sets of image data are for a bodily region that has contrast agent;
- a first target material;
- and
- a second target material that is different from the first target material;
- wherein the voltage supply is configured to apply the first voltage to create a first potential using the first target material for generating the radiation at the first energy level, and the voltage supply is configured to apply the second voltage to create a second potential using the second target material for generating the radiation at the second energy level.
