Digital broadcasting system and method of processing data in digital broadcasting system

A method of processing broadcast data in a broadcast transmitter, the method comprising:

• performing, by a Reed Solomon (RS) encoder, RS encoding and Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) encoding on mobile service data to package the mobile service data into an RS frame which belongs to an ensemble including a service map table (SMT) that includes Internet Protocol (IP) access information of the mobile service data and encryption information of the mobile service data wherein the mobile service data are encrypted according to the encryption information of the mobile service data before the RS encoding;
• mapping a portion of the RS frame into at least one data block of a group that comprises a plurality data blocks, a plurality of known data sequences, fast information channel (FIC) data, and transmission parameter channel (TPC) data, wherein the FIC data includes cross layer information for mobile service acquisition, wherein the TPC data includes FIC version information for indicating an update of the FIC data, wherein the FIC data and the TPC data are included in a fourth data block of the plurality of data blocks, and wherein a first known data sequence, a third known data sequence, a fourth known data sequence, a fifth known data sequence and a sixth known data sequence of the plurality of known data sequences are spaced 16 segments apart;
• and
• transmitting a broadcast signal including the group, wherein the SMT further includes IP access information for accessing to an IP stream of key information for decryption of the mobile service data.

A broadcast receiver comprising:

• a receiving unit for receiving a broadcast signal comprising a group comprising a plurality of data blocks, fast information channel (FIC) data including cross layer information for mobile service acquisition, transmission parameter channel (TPC) data including FIC version information for identifying an update of the FIC data, a plurality of known data sequences, and mobile service data, wherein the FIC data and the TPC data are included in a fourth data block of the plurality of data blocks, and wherein a first known data sequence, a third known data sequence, a fourth known data sequence, a fifth known data sequence and a sixth known data sequence of the plurality of known data sequences are spaced 16 segments apart;
• a demodulator for demodulating the received broadcast signal;
• a decoder for building and decoding a Reed-Solomon (RS) frame which belongs to an ensemble, the RS frame including the mobile service data, the ensemble including a service map table (SMT) that includes Internet Protocol (IP) access information of the mobile service data and encryption information of the mobile service data;
• and
• a processor for acquiring the SMT from the ensemble and decrypting the mobile service data included in the RS frame according to the IP access information of the mobile service data and the encryption information of the mobile service data,
• wherein the SMT further includes IP access information for accessing to an IP stream of key information for decryption of the mobile service data.

A method of processing broadcast data in a broadcast receiver, the method comprising:

• receiving, by a receiving unit, a broadcast signal comprising a group comprising a plurality of data blocks, fast information channel (FIC) data including cross layer information for mobile service acquisition, transmission parameter channel (TPC) data including FIC version information for identifying an update of the FIC data, a plurality of known data sequences, and mobile service data, wherein the FIC data and the TPC data are included in a fourth data block of the plurality of data blocks, and wherein a first known data sequence, a third known data sequence, a fourth known data sequence, a fifth known data sequence and a sixth known data sequence of the plurality of known data sequences are spaced 16 segments apart;
• demodulating, by a demodulator, the received broadcast signal;
• building and decoding, by a decoder, a Reed-Solomon (RS) frame which belongs to an ensemble, the RS frame including the mobile service data, the ensemble including a service map table (SMT) that includes Internet Protocol (IP) access information of the mobile service data and encryption information of the mobile service data;
• acquiring, by a processor, the SMT from the ensemble;
• and
• decrypting, by the processor, the mobile service data included in the RS frame according to the IP access information of the mobile service data and the encryption information of the mobile service data,
• wherein the SMT further includes IP access information for accessing to an IP stream of key information for decryption of the mobile service data.
