Abstract
An additive composition including at least one dispersant viscosity index improver and at least two seal swell additives is disclosed.
Claims11
An additive composition consisting essentially of at least one dispersant viscosity index improver and at least two seal swell additives,
- wherein one of the at least two seal swell additives is diisooctvl adipate and another of the at least two seal swell additives is an oil soluble sulfone, and
- further wherein the additive composition is a top treat transmission fluid additive.
A method for increasing a volume of a seal comprising adding to a transmission system a top treat additive package consisting essentially of at least one dispersant viscosity index improver and at least two seal swell additives, wherein one of the at least two seal swell additives is diisooctvl adipate and another of the at least two seal swell additives is an oil soluble sulfone.
