Abstract
The invention relates to an extrusion billet having two end sides, characterized in that the surface of at least one end side face has a three-dimensional topography which is composed of a substantially planar end side face from which local elevations protrude.

A metallic extrusion billet having end side faces provided at opposite ends thereof, characterized in that at least one end side face has a three-dimensional topography composed of a substantially planar surface from which local elevations made from the same material as the extrusion billet protrude therefrom, whereby a plurality of pins, plates or spherical cap-shaped convexities are provided on the substantially planar surface.
