Abstract
A compound for spacing nonlinear optical chromophores of the Formula I and the commercially acceptable salts, solvates and hydrates thereof, wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, W, X, Y, Z, Q1, Q2, Q4 and L have the definitions provided herein.
Claims1
A compound of the general Formula I or a commercially acceptable salt thereof, for spacing nonlinear optical chromophores:
- wherein R1 and R2 each represent a [1,3,4]thiadiazol-2-yl moiety;
- R3 represents an indole moiety and includes W, X, Y and Z;
- R4 represents a single chemical bond;
- each of Q1, Q2, and Q4 represent methoxy;
- and L comprises a labile group selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl groups, alkoxy groups, nitro groups, amino groups and halogens.
