Method and system for content categorization

A method for categorizing a content, comprising:

• receiving a content categorization request message, which carries a content digest of a content to be categorized and an instruction that performing content categorization on the content digest by an algorithm corresponding to the content digest;
• and
• performing content categorization on the content to be categorized according to the content digest by the algorithm corresponding to the content digest according to the instruction.

A device adapted to provide content categorization comprising:

• a receiving component, adapted to receive a content categorization request message, which carries a content digest of a content to be categorized and an instruction that performing content categorization on the content digest by an algorithm corresponding to the content digest;
• and
• a content categorization component, adapted to perform content categorization on the content to be categorized according to the content digest by the algorithm corresponding to the content digest according to the instruction.

A content categorization requesting device, comprises:

• a digest obtaining component, adapted to obtain content digest of content to be categorized;
• a first transmit component, adapted to transmit the content digest obtained by the digest obtaining component to a content categorization provider;
• a first instructing component, adapted to instruct the content categorization provider, through the first transmit component, to perform content categorization on the content digest by means of an algorithm corresponding to the content digest.
