Abstract
The invention relates to a continuous process for preparing radiation-curable prepolymers containing urethane groups, more particularly urethane acrylates.
Claims7
Process for the continuous preparation of radiation-curable prepolymers containing urethane groups, comprising mixing at least two components and then passing the mixed components through a delay section, one of the at least two components comprising one or more compounds having at least one isocyanate group per molecule, and the other of the at least two components comprising one or more compounds having at least one isocyanate reactive group and at least one ethylenically unsaturated double bond per molecule, wherein the delay section has a heat transfer rate of 20-750 kW/(K·m3), and the process is performed in a microreactor allowing for said heat transfer rate.
