Abstract
Provision of a packaged milk coffee beverage having excellent hypertensive effects. A packaged milk coffee beverage satisfying the following conditions (A) to (C): (A) from 0.01 to 1 wt % of chlorogenic acids, (B) less than 0.1 wt % of hydroxyhydroquinone based on a content of the chlorogenic acids, and (C) a pH of from 5.0 to 6.4.

A packaged milk coffee beverage comprising coffee derived from roasted coffee beans and satisfying the following conditions (A) to (C):
- (A) from 0.01 to 1 wt % of chlorogenic acids,
- (B) less than 0.1 wt % of hydroxyhydroquinone based on a content of said chlorogenic acids, and
- (C) a pH of from 5.0 to 6.4,
- wherein component (A) comprises 3-caffeoylquinic acid, 4-caffeoylquinic acid and 5-caffeoylquinic acid, and wherein a weight ratio of 4-caffeoylquinic acid to 3-caffeoylquinic acid is from 0.6 to 1.2, and a weight ratio of 5-caffeoylquinic acid to 3-caffeoylquinic acid is from 0.01 to 3.
