Abstract
An information processing apparatus includes a data processor configured to execute processing for selecting a plurality of frame pictures from moving-picture data and for displaying an array of the selected frame pictures. In selecting frame pictures to be displayed, the data processor preferentially selects frame pictures corresponding to highlight points as frame pictures to be displayed, using highlight point information that allows identification of picture portions corresponding to important scenes, the highlight point information being recorded in association with the moving-picture data.
Claims12
An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a processor configured to execute the functions of:
- (i) selecting, from moving-picture data, a plurality of frame pictures to be displayed and (ii) causing a display of the selected frame pictures,
- wherein,
- the selecting function includes selecting frame pictures that correspond to highlight points obtained from highlight point information used to identify picture portions corresponding to important scenes in a recorded moving picture, the highlight point information being recorded together with the moving-picture data, and
- the processor selects a frame picture corresponding to a highlight point having a recording time associated with an important scene when the following conditional expression is satisfied:
- x−(Δx/2)≦tj<x+(Δx/2),
- where tj denotes the recording time of the highlight point, x denotes a reference time corresponding to a display frame associated with the recording time of the highlight point among a plurality of display frames that are set along a temporal display sequence, and Δx denotes a time interval between the display frames.
An imaging device comprising:
- a recording data processor configured to execute the functions of:
- (i) determining a plurality of highlight points based on input information detected during a recording period of a moving picture, (ii) using the determined highlight points to generate highlight point information used to identify picture portions corresponding to important scenes in the recorded moving picture, and (iii) recording the highlight point information on a recording medium together with moving-picture data;
- and
- a playback data processor configured to execute the functions of:
- (i) selecting, from the recorded moving picture data, a plurality of frame pictures to be displayed and (ii) causing a display of the selected frame pictures,
- wherein,
- the selecting function includes selecting frame pictures that correspond to highlight points selected from the highlight point information, and
- the playback data processor selects a frame picture corresponding to a highlight point having a recording time associated with an important scene when the following conditional expression is satisfied:
- x−(Δx/2)≦tj<x+(Δx/2),
- where tj denotes the recording time of the highlight point, x denotes a reference time corresponding to a display frame associated with the recording time of the highlight point among a plurality of display frames that are set along a temporal display sequence, and Δx denotes a time interval between the display frames.
An information processing method, the method comprising:
- using a processor to execute the functions of:
- (i) selecting, from moving-picture data, a plurality of frame pictures to be displayed and (ii) causing a display of the selected frame pictures,
- wherein,
- the selecting function includes selecting frame pictures that correspond to highlight points selected from highlight point information used to identify picture portions corresponding to important scenes in a recorded moving picture, the highlight point information being recorded together with the moving-picture data, and
- a frame picture corresponding to a highlight point having a recording time associated with an important scene is selected when the following conditional expression is satisfied:
- x−(Δx/2)≦tj<x+(Δx/2),
- where tj denotes the recording time of the highlight point, x denotes a reference time corresponding to a display frame associated with the recording time of the highlight point among a plurality of display frames that are set along a temporal display sequence, and Δx denotes a time interval of the display frames.
An information processing method executed by an imaging device, the information processing method comprising:
- using one or more processors to execute the functions of:
- (i) determining a plurality of highlight points based on input information detected during a recording period of a moving picture,
- (ii) using the determined highlight points to generate highlight point information used to identify picture portions corresponding to important scenes in the recorded moving picture,
- (iii) recording the highlight point information on a recording medium together with moving-picture data,
- (iv) selecting, from the recorded moving picture data, a plurality of frame pictures to be displayed, and
- (v) causing a display of the selected frame pictures,
- wherein,
- the selecting function includes selecting frame pictures that correspond to highlight points selected from the highlight point information, and
- a frame picture corresponding to a highlight point having a recording time associated with an important scene is selected when the following conditional expression is satisfied:
- x×(Δx/2)≦tj<x+(Δx/2),
- where tj denotes the recording time of the highlight point, x denotes a reference time corresponding to a display frame associated with the recording time of the highlight point among a plurality of display frames that are set along a temporal display sequence, and Δx denotes a time interval of the display frames.
A non-transitory storage medium having stored thereon program instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform the functions of:
