Methods of separating, identifying and dispensing specimen and device therefor, and analyzing device method

A specimen identification device comprising:

• a specimen introduction nozzle that contacts a first end of the nozzle to a sample including a specimen which exists in a specimen source to introduce said sample to a second end of the nozzle;
• a flow path that forms an appropriate flow of said sample supplied from the second end to identify an identifier of said specimen, of which flow path a part is inserted the second end of said specimen introduction nozzle;
• an identification portion including a light receiving portion that detects said identifier of the specimen via light with a part of a circumference of said flow path;
• and
• a moving device that moves vertically and laterally at least one of said specimen introduction nozzle, said flow path, said identification portion, or said specimen source,
• the flow path being surrounded by a laminar flow aperture that holds a sheath flow, the light receiving portion being attached to the laminar flow aperture, and
• said specimen source comprising a plurality of sample supply nozzles, at least one of which sample supply nozzles passes through liquid containing said specimen, at a merge position or vicinity of which merge position where the liquid passing through each of said plurality of sample supply nozzles merges, at least one of a concave position or convex position for generating turbulent flow is provided at the merge position, and a downstream flow of the liquid is coupled to said second end of said specimen introduction nozzle.

A specimen identification device comprising:

• a specimen introduction nozzle that contacts a first end of the nozzle to a sample including a specimen which exists in a specimen source to introduce said sample to a second end of the nozzle;
• a flow path that forms an appropriate flow of said sample supplied from the second end to identify an identifier of said specimen, of which flow path a part is inserted the second end of said specimen introduction nozzle;
• and
• an identification portion including a light receiving portion that detects said identifier of the specimen via light with a part of a circumference of said flow path,
• the flow path being surrounded by a laminar flow aperture that holds a sheath flow, the light receiving portion being attached to the laminar flow aperture,
• wherein the specimen identification device further comprises a specimen separating device that comprises
• a first container that stores the specimen;
• a nozzle to suck and eject the specimen from said first container;
• a nozzle operating means for moving said nozzle vertically and laterally;
• and
• a nozzle controlling means for controlling suction force and ejection force of said nozzle,
• wherein the specimen is sucked through the nozzle from the first container that stores the specimen while the suction force is controlled in accordance with data,
• wherein the sucked specimen is ejected through the nozzle to a second container with the ejection force that is controlled in accordance with data,
• wherein the specimen is separated by crushing the specimen against an internal surface of the second container, and
• wherein in order to separate the specimen, the specimen is repeatedly sucked, ejected, and crushed to generate a shear stress to the specimen, and the specimen is crushed against the internal surface of the second container to generate a tensile stress.

A specimen identification device comprising:

• a specimen introduction nozzle that contacts a first end of the nozzle to a sample including a specimen which exists in a specimen source to introduce said sample to a second end of the nozzle;
• a flow path that forms an appropriate flow of said sample supplied from the second end to identify an identifier of said specimen, of which flow path a part is inserted the second end of said specimen introduction nozzle;
• and
• an identification portion including a light receiving portion that detects said identifier of the specimen via light with a part of a circumference of said flow path,
• the flow path being surrounded by a laminar flow aperture that holds a sheath flow, the light receiving portion being attached to the laminar flow aperture,
• wherein the specimen identification device further comprises a specimen dispensing device for dispensing the specimen, identified as a target specimen or a non-target specimen by the identification device, to the target specimen and the non-target specimen respectively, and the specimen dispensing device comprises
• a dispensing nozzle for forming liquid droplets containing the specimen at its front end;
• a collecting container for collecting liquid droplets containing the target specimen from said liquid droplets by introducing it;
• a drain tank for collecting liquid droplets containing the non-target specimen from said liquid droplets by introducing it;
• and
• a moving means for moving at least one of said collecting container, said drain tank or said dispensing nozzle while forming said liquid droplets.
