Optical film, polarizing plate, and image display

An optical film comprising:

• a transparent support;
• and
• an antiglare layer that comprises a light-transmitting resin and at least two kinds of light-transmitting particles,
• wherein
• the antiglare layer has a thickness of from 10 μm to 15 μm,
• each kind of the at least two kinds of light transmitting particles has an average particle size of from 7 μm to 15 μm,
• each kind of the at least two kinds of light transmitting particles has a refractive index different from a refractive index of the light-transmitting resin by from 0.001 to 0.050 in absolute value, and
• a total amount of the at least two kinds of light-transmitting particles are from 15 to 40 mass % based on all solid contents in the antiglare layer, wherein the at least two kinds of light-transmitting particles comprise:
• a light-transmitting particle A having a refractive index different from the refractive index of the light-transmitting resin by from 0.010 to 0.050;
• and
• a light-transmitting particle B having a refractive index different from the refractive index of the light-transmitting resin by from −0.050 to −0.010.
