Provided is a cell growth inhibitor that can be used for treating diseases based on abnormal cell proliferation, and in particular cancer. The cell growth inhibitor contains an anti-glypican 3 antibody as an active ingredient.

A method of treating lung cancer comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition containing an anti-glypican 3 antibody as an active ingredient wherein the anti-glypican 3 antibody has cytotoxic activity.
