Abstract
Provided are methods for modulating activity of the immune system using agonists or antagonists of a CD200 receptor. Also provided are methods of treatment and diagnosis of immune disorders.

A method of treating allergic rhinitis comprising, contacting a mast cell with an agonist antibody that specifically binds to CD200Ra (SEQ ID NO:2) or an antigenic fragment of CD200Ra (SEQ ID NO:2), wherein said agonist antibody inhibits degranulation by the mast cell.
