A composition comprising a superhydrophilic amphiphilic copolymer that is a starch-based polysaccharide derived from potato or tapioca modified with dodecenyl succinic anhydride and a carrier, wherein the superhydrophilic amphiphilic copolymer has a mole percent of amphiphilic units that is at least 5 but less than 10% and a weight average molecular weight that is less than about 200,000.
