Abstract
A method for preventing or delaying the onset of autoimmune diseases is disclosed.
Claims8
A pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting intestinal permeability, comprising:
- a peptide consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:15 in a pharmaceutically effective amount for inhibiting intestinal permeability, the peptide having the activity of inhibiting increases in paracellular permeability,
- wherein the pharmaceutical composition is a gastroresistant oral dosage composition for delivery of the effective amount of the peptide to the ileum of a patient.
A pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting intestinal permeability, comprising:
- a peptide consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:15 in a pharmaceutically effective amount for inhibiting intestinal permeability, the peptide having the activity of inhibiting increases in paracellular permeability,
- wherein the pharmaceutical composition is a gastroresistant oral dosage comprising peptide-containing gastroresistant beads to deliver the peptide to the ileum of a patient.
