Abstract
A composition comprising a reaction product of reactants comprising (a) a compound comprising (i) a polysulfide moiety and (ii) an oxygen atom in a β-position to a sulfur link having the formula: where each R is independently selected from H or a C1 to C20 organyl group, R′ is independently selected from a C1 to C20 organyl group, R′″ is independently selected from H or a C1 to C20 organyl group, and x has an average of greater than 2, (b) a compound comprising a nucleophilic moiety; and (c) a compound comprising a moiety reactive to active hydrogen.

A composition comprising a reaction product of reactants comprising:
- (a) a compound comprising (i) a polysulfide moiety and (ii) an oxygen atom in a β-position to a sulfur link has the formula:
- where each R is independently selected from H or a C1 to C20 organyl group;
- each R″ is independently selected from a C1 to C60 organylene group;
- R′″ is independently selected from H or a C1 to C20 organyl group;
- each x independently has an average greater than 2;
- each m independently is greater than or equal to one;
- and n is greater than or equal to one;
- (b) a compound comprising a nucleophilic moiety;
- and
- (c) a compound comprising a moiety reactive to active hydrogen.
