Abstract
Applicants have produced and isolated chemically cross-linked complexes of endotoxin and modified MD-2, and have developed methods of using these complexes.
Claims25
A composition comprising an aqueous solution and a water-soluble complex, wherein the complex is a monomeric form of cross-linked MD-2:endotoxin consisting of one molecule of an endotoxin, one molecule of a cross-linker of 400-1000 daltons or 3-12 angstroms and one molecule of MD-2, wherein the cross-linker molecule is covalently bound to the endotoxin and wherein the cross-linker is covalently bound to the MD-2, and wherein the complex is a TLR4 antagonist.
A composition consisting of an aqueous solution and a water-soluble complex, wherein the complex consists of one molecule of an endotoxin, one molecule of a cross-linker of 400-1000 daltons or 3-12 angstroms and one molecule of MD-2, wherein the cross-linker molecule is covalently bound to the endotoxin and wherein the cross-linker is covalently bound to the MD-2, and wherein the complex is a TLR4 antagonist.
