Abstract
The invention relates to the use, in anti-graffiti treatments, and preferably in graffiti-suppressing treatments, of a particular dicarboxylic acid diester having improved treatment efficiency.

A method for treatment of graffiti comprising applying a product to a substrate, wherein the product comprises a diester of a dicarboxylic acid of formula (I):
- R1—OOC-A-COO—R2 (1)
- wherein:
- the R1 and R2 groups independently comprise a linear or branched, cyclic or noncyclic, C1-C20 alkyl, aryl, alkylaryl or arylalkyl group;
- and
- the A group comprises a branched divalent C3-C10 alkylene group.
