Cylindrical dynamic damper

A cylindrical dynamic damper for installing on a rod shaped vibrating member, the damper comprising:

• a cylindrical fastening member formed of an elastic body and adapted to be disposed about and fitted onto the rod shaped vibrating member;
• a mass member of tubular shape having a diameter larger than the cylindrical fastening member and disposed concentrically about the cylindrical fastening member;
• a plurality of elastic connecting members disposed between opposing faces of the cylindrical fastening member and the mass member at respective circumferential positions so as to extend in a radial direction;
• and
• a plurality of thin elastic film members, which are disposed between and integrally formed with circumferentially adjacent ones of the elastic connecting members, elastically connecting the cylindrical fastening member and the mass member so that the mass member is elastically supportable by the rod shaped vibrating member,
• wherein the thin elastic film members are inclined to one axial side, with the thin elastic film members that are diametrically opposed to each other being inclined to opposite axial sides in relation to each other.
