An electronic device, comprising:
- a display including a front cover and a rear cover affixed to the front cover;
- a plurality of chambers formed on the rear cover;
- and
- a microphone array including a plurality of microphones disposed in the chambers;
- wherein the rear cover has a plurality of acoustic openings through which the microphones receives external sound.
