Abstract
Oxidized and maleated derivative compositions, such as chemically modified oxidized and maleated tall oil fatty acid compositions, can be prepared and used in a variety of industrial applications, including as emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, concrete admixtures, and in reverse flotation mining applications.

A composition comprising:
- an oxidized and maleated fatty acid or rosin acid compound, wherein the composition comprises fatty acid compounds, rosin acid compounds or a mixture of such compounds having crosslinks between hydrocarbon chains through an ether linkage and having one or more derivatized carboxylic acid moieties.
