Abstract
The present invention provides BGL7 polypeptides with the biological activity of a β-glucosidase and a method of producing a recombinant enzyme having β-glucosidase activity.
Claims7
A method of producing a polypeptide, comprising:
- (a) stably transforming a host cell with an expression vector comprising a nucleic acid sequence which encodes a polypeptide having at least 90% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:2 wherein said polypeptide has beta-glucosidase 7 (bgl7) activity;
- and
- (b) cultivating said transformed host cell under condition suitable for said host cell to produce said polypeptide.
A cell culture medium comprising a polypeptide that was expressed using recombinant DNA technology, said polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 90% identity to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, wherein said polypeptide has beta-glucosidase 7 (bgl7) activity.
