Abstract
Safety eyewear has a frame and a lens carrier permanently or removably attached to the frame. The lens carrier includes a prescription insert. The safety eyewear may further include an adjustable length strap and a strap attachment device for attaching the strap to the frame. In some embodiments, the frame may include a vent.

A safety eyewear comprising:
- a frame;
- a lens carrier removably attached to the frame;
- and
- a prescription insert removably attached to the frame;
- wherein the lens carrier is adapted to be removed without necessitating detachment of the prescription insert.
