Abstract
An illumination device includes a nozzle, a grip, at least one light element connected to the nozzle, and a moveable turbine generator electrically connected to the light-emitting element. The turbine generator includes at least one rotatable blade. When the turbine generator is moved into the nozzle, the impact of a fluid flowing through the nozzle causes the rotatable blade to rotate, thereby generating electric power to power the light-emitting element. When the turbine generator is moved into the grip, the rotatable blade is not subjected to the impact of the fluid flowing through the nozzle, stopping the turbine generator from generating the electric power.
Claims13
An adjustable fluid-driven illumination device, comprising:
- a nozzle;
- at least one light-emitting element connected to the nozzle;
- a grip connected to the nozzle;
- and
- a turbine generator electrically connected to the light-emitting element, and including at least one rotatable blade;
- and
- an actuator moving the turbine generator between a first position inside the grip and a second position at least partially into the nozzle;
- wherein the first and second positions are arranged such that when the turbine generator is in the second position, the at least one rotatable blade is caused to rotate by the impact of a fluid flowing through the nozzle, the turbine generator thereby generating electric power, to power the light-emitting element and when the turbine generator is in the second position, the rotatable blade is not subjected to the impact of the fluid flowing through the nozzle, stopping the turbine generator from generating the electric power.
An adjustable fluid-driven illumination device, comprising:
- a first tube comprising at least one retardant plate;
- a second tube rotatably connecting to the first tube;
- at least one light-emitting element connected to the second tube;
- and
- a turbine generator disposed in the second tube and electrically connected to the light-emitting element, wherein the turbine generator comprises at least one rotatable blade adjacent to and selectively covered by the retardant plate, arranged such that when the first and second tubes rotate with respect to each other to expose the rotatable blade from the retardant plate, the rotatable blade is rotated by impact of a fluid flowing through the first and second tubes, enabling the turbine generator to generate electric power to power the light-emitting element, and when the fluid flow is interrupted and the first and second tubes rotate with respect to each other to cover the rotatable blade with the retardant plate, the rotating rotatable blade is not subjected to the impact of the fluid flowing through the first and second tubes when the fluid flow is resumed, stopping the turbine generator from generating the electric power.
