Abstract
The use and screening of modulators of apoptosis is disclosed. The modulators may be, for example, modulator of NF-κB activity. The modulators may be used, for example, in the treatment of NF-κB-mediated diseases, conditions, and injuries.

A method of treating apoptosis-mediated tissue damage in a subject, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising flagellin, wherein the apoptosis is attributable to cellular stress.
