The present invention relates to the use of a 2,5-dihydroxybenzene derivative of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, isomer, or prodrug thereof for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of, inter alia, skin cancer.
Claims16
A method for therapeutic treatment of existing basal cell carcinoma (BCC) comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment of basal cell carcinoma an effective amount of a 2,5-dihydroxybenzene derivative selected from:
- 2-(acetyloxy)-5-hydroxybenzenesulfonic acid, 5-(acetyloxy)-2-hydroxy benzene sulfonic acid and 2,5-bis(acetyloxy)benzenesulfonic acid.
