Abstract
Implementations of various technologies for a method for processing seismic data. A first portion of a record of pre-stack seismic data may be displayed in a three-dimensional XYZ (3-D XYZ) space. A selection may be received of a second portion of the record of the pre-stack seismic data within the first portion. One or more attributes may be determined that define the second portion. One or more regions may be identified within the record of the pre-stack seismic data having the attributes that define the second portion.
Claims12
A method for visualizing seismic data, comprising:
- displaying a plurality of shot point locations in a 2-dimensional (2-D XY) space;
- receiving a selection of a portion of the plurality of shot point locations;
- determining shot point gathers corresponding to the portion of the shot point locations;
- and
- displaying the shot point gathers at the selected portion of the shot point locations in a 3-dimensional XYZ (3-D XYZ) space.
A method for visualizing seismic data, comprising:
- receiving a selection of a portion of a plurality of shot point locations;
- determining shot point gathers corresponding to the portion of the shot point locations;
- and
- combining the shot point gathers into a 3-dimensional (3-D) cube of shot point gathers.
