Abstract
A method and apparatus for treatment planning are described.
Claims23
A method of creating a treatment plan, comprising:
- optimizing one or more treatment planning parameters of the treatment plan with a treatment planning system to treat a target using an optimization process;
- automatically generating output of the treatment plan by the optimization process after an intermediate iteration of the optimization process, without user intervention, prior to termination of the optimization process;
- and
- updating treatment plan data displayed to a user of the treatment planning system based on the output generated by the intermediate iteration prior to the termination of the optimization process.

- optimizing one or more treatment planning parameters of the treatment plan with a treatment planning system to treat a target using an optimization process;
- automatically generating output of the treatment plan by the optimization process after an intermediate iteration of the optimization process, without user intervention, prior to termination of the optimization process;
- and
- updating treatment plan data displayed to a user of the treatment planning system based on the output generated by the intermediate iteration prior to the termination of the optimization process, wherein the one or more treatment planning parameters comprise a radiation beam emission point of a linear accelerator.
