Abstract
Device, system, and method of wireless transfer of files. For example, a method includes: identifying a selection of a representation of a digital object stored in a mobile device by detecting contact on a touch-sensitive surface of the mobile device at a contact position that corresponds to said representation; identifying a directional movement of said contact position on the touch-sensitive surface; and in response to said directional movement, wirelessly transferring data corresponding to the digital object to a nearby computing device.
Claims16
A method comprising:
- identifying a selection of a representation of a digital object stored in a mobile device by detecting contact on a touch-sensitive surface of the mobile device at a contact position that corresponds to said representation;
- identifying a directional movement of said contact position on the touch-sensitive surface
- calculating a throwing range of the digital object based on a throwing velocity and a tilt angle of the wireless device relative to the ground;
- and
- in response to said directional movement, wirelessly transferring data corresponding to the digital object to a nearby computing device if the nearby computing device is within the throwing range.

A wireless device comprising:
- a touch-sensitive surface to receive touch-based user input;
- a storage unit to store a digital object;
- a user interface to identify that a user of the wireless device rapidly drags on the touch-sensitive surface a representation of the digital object in a directional movement;
- a processor to calculate a throwing range of the digital object based on a throwing velocity and a tilt angle of the wireless device relative to the ground ;
- and
- a wireless transmitter to wirelessly transmit data corresponding to the digital object to a nearby computing device if the nearby computing device is within the throwing range.
