Abstract
An exercise bar cord impingement assembly permits exercise in two modes, defined in terms of how cord anchoring is arranged. It also permits exercise to be conducted either with a stretchable cord and handgrip together connected to the bar's body or just the stretchable cord itself so connected. In either case, there are slots in the bar's body to slide the cord through. Specially shaped wells or nests accommodate impingement of the elastic cord and firm handgrip emplacement. The ends of the bar's body are preferably shaped into pipe bowl configuration disposed to insure a good fit and avoid torque.
Claims20
A reinforced cord well lifting bar assembly, comprising an exercise bar assembly;
- and
- an elastic exercise cord assembly, the exercise cord assembly comprising
- an elongated body;
- an opposing pair of transversely disposed cord tunnels, one end of each thereof comprising a first opening of size accommodating the disposition of a stretchable exercise cord therethrough, a portion of the tunnel comprising size accommodating the cord's impingement therein;
- the elastic exercise cord assembly comprising a stretchable exercise cord disposed for impingement at an impingement site within a respective cord tunnel and comprising means of impingement for connection to the exercise bar's body;
- whereby, to benefit certain muscles, an operator may undertake any one of a number of exercises against the cord's elastic resistance;
- wherein the exercise bar's body comprises a pair of cord emplacement slots disposed, respectively, for communicable access with each tunnel;
- whereby the cord's emplacement within the bar for impingement in preparation for use in either first or second mode exercise is facilitated.
An assembly comprising:
- an elastic exercise cord assembly including a stretchable exercise cord and means of impingement disposed at each end;
- an exercise bar assembly including an elongated body and cord tunnels, the cord tunnels being disposed on opposing ends of the elongated body, each cord tunnel having a first opening configured to accommodate at least a portion of the stretchable exercise cord, a portion of the tunnel being configured to accommodate the means of impingement,
- the stretchable exercise cord to be impinged at an impingement site within a respective cord tunnel and the means of impingement to be connected to the elongated body of the exercise bar assembly;
- and
- a strapped handgrip disposed on the exercise cord assembly and capable of sliding along the stretchable exercise cord when the stretchable exercise cord is impinged at the impingement site.
A bar assembly, comprising:
- an elastic exercise cord assembly including a cord and means of impingement disposed at each end of the cord;
- and
- an exercise bar assembly including an elongated body and an opposing pair of transversely disposed cord tunnels, each end of the elongated body having a first opening being sized to accommodate the disposition of the cord through each of the cord tunnels, a portion of the tunnel being sized to connect the means of impingement to each end of the elongated body, the elongated body including a pair of cord emplacement slots disposed, respectfully, for communicable access with each tunnel,
- the stretchable exercise cord being disposed for impingement at an impingement site within a respective cord tunnel and the means of impingement being disposed for connection to the elongated body of the exercise bar assembly.
