Abstract
The present invention provides a motor assembly method for mounting to a base. The motor assembly includes a stator assembly having a plurality of stator teeth. Each stator tooth is configured to support a stator coil. The motor assembly also includes a flexible printed circuit having top and bottom surfaces and an end portion. The end portion is affixed to the stator assembly at the top surface. The bottom surface is affixed to the base.
Claims9
A method of assembling a motor comprising:
- obtaining a stator defining a plurality of stator teeth;
- obtaining a flexible printed circuit having an interconnect layer and a cover layer, the cover layer including a plurality of openings for exposing the interconnect layer;
- training a plurality of electrically conductive members around each of the stator teeth, each of the plurality of electrically conductive members individually circumscribing each stator tooth less than one complete revolution;
- and
- coupling each of the plurality of electrically conductive members with the interconnect layer to form a coil wound around each stator tooth.
