Service mobility for composed components

A system comprising:

• one or more servers configured to operate as a corresponding number of service platforms for a service provider that provides a composite service to a user terminal;
• and
• a computing device configured to:
• identify components of the composite service being provided to the user terminal, the components residing on at least one of the one or more servers;
• construct a distribution model of the components that defines a distribution of the components over the one or more servers and
• while preserving one or more states of the components, coordinate handover of the components between the one or more servers in accordance with the distribution model of the components.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed, cause a computing device to:

• identify components of one or more services being provided to a user terminal;
• construct a distribution model of the components that defines a distribution of the components over one or more platforms;
• and
• while preserving one or more states of the components, coordinate handover of the components between the one or more platforms in accordance with the distribution model of the components.

A server comprising:

• memory storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed, cause the server to at least:
• identify components of one or more services being provided to a user terminal;
• at least partially construct a distribution model of the components that defines a distribution of the components over one or more platforms;
• and
• while preserving one or more states of the components, coordinate handover of the components between the one or more platforms in accordance with the distribution model of the components.
