Abstract
An electronic equipment includes a monitor circuit and a message generation circuit. The monitor circuit is operative to obtain information corresponding to media content reproduced by the electronic equipment, and the message generation circuit is operative to include the obtained information in an outgoing message.

An electronic device, comprising:
- a monitor circuit configured to obtain information corresponding to media content, reproduced by the electronic device;
- and
- a message generation circuit configured to append to a user composed message the information corresponding to media content being reproduced by the electronic device, said information obtained while at least a portion of the user composed message is created, and said user composed message unrelated to the media content.
A method for using an electronic device to promote media content, comprising:
- including information in a user composed message, the information corresponding to media content reproduced on a first electronic device while at least a portion of the user composed message is being created via the first electronic device, said user composed message unrelated to the media content;
- transmitting the user composed message to a second electronic device;
- decoding the user composed message on the second electronic device to obtain the information corresponding to the media content;
- and
- presenting the information corresponding to the media content on the second electronic device.

A computer program embodied on a non-transitory computer readable medium and operable in an electronic device used to promote media content, comprising:
- code that includes information in a user composed message, the information corresponding to media content reproduced on a first electronic device while at least a portion of the user composed message is being created via the first electronic device, said user composed message unrelated to the media content;
- and
- code that transmits the user composed message to a second electronic device.
