Abstract
An inkjet ink composition comprising water, pigment particles dispersed with a polymeric dispersant, at least one water-dispersible polyurethane, at least one pyrrolidinone compound, glycerol, and a 1,2-alkanediol having from four to eight carbon atoms.
Claims12
An inkjet ink composition comprising:
- (a) water;
- (b) pigment particles dispersed with a polymeric dispersant;
- (c) at least one water-dispersible polyurethane;
- (d) at least one pyrrolidinone compound;
- (e) glycerol;
- and
- (f) a 1,2-alkanediol having from four to eight carbon atoms;
- wherein the at least one pvrrolidinone compound is present in the ink at from about 2% to about 8% by weight based on the total components in the ink, glycerol is present at from about 1% to about 10% by weight based on the total components of the ink, the 1,2-alkanediol having from four to eight carbon atoms is present at from about 1 to about 5% by weight based on the total components of the ink, and the at least one pyrrolidinone compound is present at levels greater than about 30% by weight based on the sum total of the at least one pyrrolidinone compound and glycerol.

An inkjet ink set comprising two or more colored ink compositions comprising different colorants, wherein at least one of the colored ink compositions comprises an ink according to an inkjet ink composition comprising:
- (a) water;
- (b) pigment particles dispersed with a polymeric dispersant;
- (c) at least one water-dispersible polyurethane;
- (d) at least one pyrrolidinone compound;
- (e) glycerol;
- and
- (f) a 1,2-alkanediol having from four to eight carbon atoms;
- wherein the at least one pyrrolidinone compound is present in the ink at from about 2% to about 8% by weight based on the total components in the ink, glycerol is present at from about 1% to about 10% by weight based on the total components of the ink, the 1,2-alkanediol having from four to eight carbon atoms is present at from about 1 to about 5% by weight based on the total components of the ink, and the at least one pyrrolidinone compound is present at levels greater than about 30% by weight based on the sum total of the at least one pyrrolidinone compound and glycerol.
