Abstract
A display device includes a display panel having first and second opposing glass substrates forming a display surface, a transparent member, a first adhesive material bonding the transparent member to the entire display surface of the display panel, and a plate-like member disposed on a rear side of and supporting the display panel. A second adhesive material different from the first adhesive material is disposed between a rear surface of the transparent member and a front surface of the plate-like member so as to fixedly bond the transparent member and the plate-like member to one another.
Claims19
A display device comprising:
- a display panel having first and second opposing glass substrates forming a display surface and each having a thickness in the range of 0.1 mm-0.2 mm;
- a transparent member bonded to the entire display surface of the display panel and having an overall dimension greater than that of the first glass substrate;
- a first adhesive material comprised of a transparent optical adhesive that bonds the transparent member to the entire display surface of the display panel;
- a plate-like member having an overall dimension greater than that of the second glass substrate and being disposed on a rear side of and supporting the display panel;
- and
- a second adhesive material disposed between a rear surface of the transparent member and a front surface of the plate-like member to bond the transparent member and the plate-like member at overlapping portions thereof disposed at a region outside of the display panel.
A display device comprising:
- a display panel having first and second opposing glass substrates forming a display surface;
- a transparent member having an overall dimension greater than that of the first glass substrate;
- a first adhesive material bonding the transparent member to the entire display surface of the display panel;
- a plate-like member having an overall dimension greater than that of the second glass substrate and being disposed on a rear side of and supporting the display panel;
- and
- a second adhesive material different from the first adhesive material and disposed between a rear surface of the transparent member and a front surface of the plate-like member so as to fixedly bond the transparent member and the plate-like member to one another.
