Abstract
A circuit board comprises a center segment distributing power and low-speed signaling, and outer segments for high-speed signaling. The segments use dielectric materials with different dielectric constants, with the outer segments supporting higher-speed signal transmission.
Claims4
A circuit board comprising:
- first and second segments, the first segment including plural hi-speed differential trace planes and at least one dielectric layer having a first dielectric constant, and the second segment including plural hi-speed differential trace planes and at least one dielectric layer having a second dielectric constant, the first and second dielectric constants being different, and
- wherein signal paths provided by the hi-speed differential trace planes of the first segment exhibit higher speed signal transmission capability than signal paths provided by the hi-speed differential trace planes of the second segment.
