Polysulfone, electrolyte membrane using the same, and fuel cell using the electrolyte membrane

A polysulfone, comprising:

• a repeating unit represented by Formula 1:
• where X is selected from the group consisting of a single bond, —CH2—, —C(CH3)2—, —C(CF3)2—, —C(CCl3)2—, —C(═O)—, and —O—;
• each R1 is independently selected from the group consisting of a primary amino group, a secondary amino group, a tertiary amino group, a quaternary ammonium salt group, a C4-C30 alkyl heteroarylpyridinium salt group, a C4-C30 aryl heteroarylpyridinium salt group, a C4-C30 aralkyl heteroarylpyridinium salt group, and a combination thereof;
• and R comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen, a C1-C20 alkyl group, a C6-C20 aryl group, a C1-C20 alkoxy group, and a C6-C20 aryloxy group;
• and
• a repeating unit represented by Formula 3:
• R2 is selected from the group consisting of a C1-C20 alkyl group, a C1-C20 alkoxy group, a C6-C20 aryl group, a C6-C20 aryloxy group, a C7-C20 arylalkyl group, and —CH2O(CH2CH2O)nCH3;
• n is an integer from 1 to 20;
• and R comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen, a C1-C20 alkyl group, a C6-C20 aryl group, a C1-C20 alkoxy group, and a C6-C20 aryloxy group,
• wherein the polysulfone includes:
• the repeating unit represented by Formula I in the range of 0.6-0.9 mole;
• the repeating unit represented by Formula 3 in the range of 0.05-0.3 mole;
• and
• a degree of polymerization in the range of 20-5000.
