Abstract
A printing system is provided having a printhead for printing on a media web, a dryer and drying chamber for drying the printed web, and a feed mechanism for feeding the web past the printhead, dryer and drying chamber so that the printed web hangs into the drying chamber as a loop from opposite sides of an opening in drying chamber. The dryer directs heated air into the drying chamber through the opening to dry the printed web.

A printing system comprising:
- a printhead for printing on a media web;
- a dryer and drying chamber for drying the printed web;
- and
- a feed mechanism for feeding the web past the printhead, dryer and drying chamber so that the printed web hangs into the drying chamber as a loop from opposite sides of an opening in drying chamber, the dryer directing heated air into the drying chamber through the opening to dry the printed web,
- wherein a rotatable door covers the opening.
