Abstract
A hydrogen dispensing station and method of operating a hydrogen dispensing station for dispensing to multiple receiving vessels. The station and method limit receiving vessel gas temperature during dispensing. Various components used to limit receiving vessel gas temperature during dispensing are mutual to multiple hydrogen service ports. Receiving vessel gas temperature during dispensing may be affected by pressure ramp rate control, cooling of hydrogen in a heat exchanger, and/or use of a lower temperature hydrogen source stream.
Claims22
A hydrogen dispensing station comprising:
- at least two hydrogen service ports;
- a means for limiting receiving vessel gas temperature during dispensing, said means for limiting receiving vessel gas temperature during dispensing in upstream fluid communication with the at least two hydrogen service ports;
- and
- a controller with at least one fast dispensing rate algorithm in electronic communication with the means for limiting receiving vessel gas temperature during dispensing, wherein the controller is capable of generating at least one of a pressure ramp rate control command and a temperature control command responsive to the at least one fast dispensing rate algorithm and the controller is capable of electronically communicating the at least one of a pressure ramp rate control command and a temperature control command to the means for limiting receiving vessel gas temperature during dispensing.
