Method and apparatus for unstructured data mining and distributed processing

A method performed by a sort server comprising a central processing unit, a memory and a network interface configured to interconnect the sort server with a search server, a plurality of storage systems and a plurality of processing servers using at least one network, the method comprising:

• a. receiving a search result from the search server;
• and
• b. assigning a plurality of tasks to the plurality of processing servers, wherein the assignment of the plurality of tasks is based on a condition comprising the search result;
• wherein the search server identifies in said search result which storage systems of said plurality of storage systems includes objects matching a search term,
• wherein identical objects matching said search term are stored in several storage systems of said plurality of storage systems, and said sort server determines which storage system among said several storage systems is accessed and which processing server among said plurality of processing servers is assigned for each task of plurality of tasks.

A tangible computer readable medium embodying a set of computer-executable instructions implementing a method performed by a sort server comprising a central processing unit, a memory and a network interface configured to interconnect the sort server with a search server, a plurality of storage systems and a plurality of processing servers using at least one network, the method comprising:

• a. receiving a search result from the search server;
• and
• b. assigning a plurality of tasks to the plurality of processing servers, wherein the assignment of the plurality of tasks is based on a condition comprising the search result;
• wherein the search server identifies in said search result which storage systems of said plurality of storage systems includes objects matching a search term,
• wherein identical objects matching said search term are stored in several storage systems of said plurality of storage systems, and said sort server determines which storage system among said several storage systems is accessed and which processing server among said plurality of processing servers is assigned for each task of plurality of tasks.
