Data processing method in network system connected with image processing apparatus

A control method for an image processing apparatus, the method comprising:

• detecting a portable memory medium;
• recognizing a user ID stored by the portable memory medium;
• transmitting the recognized user ID to a server via a network in order to acquire information corresponding to the recognized user ID;
• receiving the information corresponding to the recognized user ID from the server via the network;
• and
• setting the received information as transmission source information of image data that is to be transmitted,
• wherein the recognizing of the user ID, the transmitting of the user ID, and the receiving of the information are automatically performed without user interaction, in response to the detecting of the portable memory medium.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing computer-executable program codes that, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform a control method comprising:

• detecting a portable memory medium;
• recognizing a user ID stored by the portable memory medium;
• transmitting the recognized user ID to a server via a network in order to acquire information corresponding to the recognized user ID;
• receiving the information corresponding to the recognized user ID from the server via the network;
• and
• setting the received information as transmission source information of image data that is to be transmitted,
• wherein the recognizing of the user ID, the transmitting of the user ID, and the receiving of the information are automatically performed without user interaction, in response to the detecting of the portable memory medium.
